Fairy hair

As a lover of vivid hair I figured maybe I could give some pointers on what products to use and techniques to dye for.
One thing I like to stick to for originality and saving money over time is mixing my own color. I usually use primary colors and conditioner to create the color I want. For my current color I used these three and a regular conditioner. Mind you I'm no hair stylist and I won't claim to be but hear me out the results were pretty great!

Maintain the look

A few keys to keeping the color that I found are a color depositing conditioner (homemade or other) and a good toning shampoo to give it a sealant. I personally like to use the left over dye and any old conditioner to deposit the color back about two weeks after I dye it. The mix should be 33% dye and 67% shampoo. You're giving the illusion that you're dye is lasting not that it's staying perfect forever. I have to use this 2-3 times a week because I have hard water (trust me once I figure out a solution for that I'll make a post). Another item I use once or twice a week to give my hair an oil spill esque sheen is the Bleach London Pearlescent Shampoo, you remember the purple shampoo your grandma used to use or the "blonder" shampoos you see on the shelf?Take that and make it drippy rainbow. It's the bomb I absolutely love it!
