Since it is halfway through February to soft launch the blog I figured I'd get started with something I know most of the people in my circle and many outside can appreciate: fairycore. If you want to live your Forrest nymph fantasy or just want to get to see mine this is the place for you. As your resident weirdo and the girl who can convince herself she's on her way to a villa in Spain or a hotel in Hawaii in the off chance she takes an Uber home from work I'm here to help you kick start your imagination and give you advice on how to get there without breaking the bank! To start I want to give you some decorative ideas to give your space that fairycore vibe you might be going for and an idea of how to set them up and a few pointers for how to make some of the things around the house make you feel more like your inner woodland fairy/creature.
A few essentials to me in any fairy core environment is a mushroom lamp, some kind of preserved creature of the woods, vines. These collectively give the feeling of being in a fantasy forest. The mushroom represents a place to hide for the fairy inside and gives ambiance by leaving the room dimly lit. Oddities on the other hand remind us of the friends we make in creatures and critters. These little guys give spunk and life to the room! The vines whether dangling over your bed or doorway or framing a mirror or window immerse you in the indoor fairy forest you've created, giving your at home hideaway a bigger sense of fantasy in reality. My personal favorites that I've found so far are linked by the pictures here:

Simplistic Fairy:
Once you have these key elements the background will come with ease from picking a muted earthy wall color to finding the right amount of sparkle. You could even bring some branches in after cleaning them off or maybe thrift some foggy brass plates and trays. Maybe you modpodge some glitter and stuffing onto a full length mirror or put up some fairy lights. One of my biggest suggestions is to thrift some Lacey curtains and doilies, this will give a vintage fantasy feel to the room. Anything to make you feel like you're in the Neverland of your desire.
What are some low budget tips you would use? What gives you that fantasy feel that satisfies your inner fairy?
